Annual General Meeting
The SPJFC has it's AGM on the 6th September at the clubrooms and everyone is welcome.
Committee Positions for Season 2011
We currently have 2 key positions available this year, they are:
Vice President – This role is to support the President, and to assist with some of the administration of the club, as well as to deputise for the President on occasions.
Football Manager – This position is changing in 2011 with the appointment of a paid Coaches Director. This new position will oversee the new appointment, and be his conduit to the club committee. Most of the work will be pre-season, and will involve some management of the appointee and assistance as he structures up the role at Surrey.
If you or someone you know is interested making a difference or wants to know more about joining the committee or would like a copy of a Position Descriptions, please contact Megan Tanner 9899 3401 or 0414 241 342 to discuss these wonderful opportunities to contribute to our Club.

League Best & Fairest
Surrey Park Junior Football Club had a very successful night on Tuesday August 24th, at the Yarra League's Best & Fairest count. Surrey Park had 10 boys asked to attend the League's Vote Count with some notable results shown below:
U10 Black Noah Wheeler – equal 3rd
U13 Brown Will Keogh – 1st
U14 Green Tagan Carter-Taylor – 2nd
U15 Alex Anderson – 2nd
Colts 3 Shaun Kennedy and Adam Muling – equal 5th
Surrey Park also had 2 players awarded a place in the Colts Team of the Year – Jake Summers (at Centre Half Forward) & Jordan Ceppi (Half Forward Flank). This is a great honour to be selected in this ceremonial team (similar to All Australian in the AFL) which is made up of the best 24 players selected from the 35 teams (over 700 players) competing across the 4 Colts divisions. A fantastic achievement and well done to all boys asked to attend the night.
Under 18s
Season 2011 looms as an exciting one already with a new team on the horizon in a newly formed under 18's. Make sure you watch the website and keep your ears open as the good news travels. Go Surrey!
2010 Yearbook
This year's Yearbook will include player's stats, coach's reports, milestones, and much more will be available on the night of the AGM.
Surrey Park Boys in Victorian Metropolitan Championships Grand Finals
Alex Anderson and James Munter (Under 15) and Tagan Carter-Taylor (Under 14) have all done the YJFL and Surrey Park Junior Football Club proud with their outstanding performances in their respective Grand Finals.
Tagan's Under 14s won the championships in fine style whilst Alex and James missed out in a game that was less of a spectacle due to an unfortunately strong wind.
The whole of the club are proud of the boys achievements and we look forward to watching you progress further in your football careers.
